Homestyling & inspo

All our knowledge begins with the senses

Creating a comfortable home ambience is really about knowing yourself, it's a sensory experience, knowing what makes you feel good. At a chaotic and crazy time on our planet, I look to what I love and miss while being homebound and distanced for a while. Family, friends, travel, holidays and I dream...

"...Everything you can imagine is real..." Pablo Picasso

As a visual learner, I love seeing images and objects that spark excitement or curiosity. Vision boards, following interior designers on socials and browsing store catalogues have been some of favourite lockdown activities. My absolute go to gurus are the fabulous Three Birds Renovations. Powerhouse women who have ignited their dreams and oh so generous in the empowering of others.

Dream, Plan, Keep it Real

  1. Know your capabilities & limitations aka budget. Youtube, Bunnings, Lifestyle channels and other websites host informative DIY tutorials but call in the experts when you can't do it all yourself.

  2. Realistically plan the project not only in time but costings, it pays to shop around.

  3. When you know, you know. If there is a piece that is an absolute "must have" then save your pennies, it will be so worth it. As they say, good things come to those who wait.
