Over a 6 month period we built the three decked areas, each with its own purpose and separate budget. PROJECT 1 : "The Ivy Deck" was a DIY purpose built deck to house our daybed pagoda by the pool. This chilled space was made with love by my family using pre fab materials, left over paint and trial and error. A quiet relaxation chill zone nestled under palm trees near our fur babies (its namesake's) resting place. PROJECT 2 : "The Front Porch" was a much anticipated deck that spanned over a few years of dreaming. The project evolved, based on materials and budget. The Kmart stone tiles inspired the landing area, adding to the Casa's cottage feels. The merbau timber adjoining deck, carefully crafted by Sydney Gazebo and Bali Huts, is the perfect contrast to the stone adding harmony to our home by matching the pre existing side deck. PROJECT 3 : "Floating Stairs" was another SGBH collab providing a sculptured access to our lower courtyard and acting as a gateway to Casa de Carlingford's backyard haven. It has created an aesthetic feature from all angles of our home.
